No. You are not allowed to give another person your license plates. When selling a car you may surrender or transfer the plates. To transfer them to a new vehicle, you must be the owner of it.

It is a service that reserves a plate number for unregistered automobiles at the owner's request for a period of 6 months or a year.

How can I notify Driver Services that a member of my family has died?

If they died in Wyoming, Wyoming Vital Records will notify the Department of Transportation, and nothing further needs to be done. If they died out of state, the DOT requires a copy of their death certificate or obituary.

Suspension, in reality, impacts a person's driving rights but does not usually affect their driver license. That is, when the suspension begins, the driver's license is not revoked. So, once the suspension period is up, you may be able to reclaim your license.

Yes you can keep them. If you are not going to buy a new vehicle you have to just surrender the current ones. However, if you are going to buy a new vehicle you may transfer your license plates into the new one. Note that you must be the owner of the vehicle you want to transfer the tags to.

How long will I be required to pay sales tax on my new purchase?

60 days. Whenever you have purchased a car in Wyoming, you have to pay the taxes on your vehicle within two months/60 days. The 60 days period include holidays and weekends. If you haven’t managed to make a payment you may face a penalty of 1% of interest.
